Uganda is one of the poorest countries in the world and has suffered significant political unrest since Idi Amin came to power over 20 years ago. Since that time the country has been affected, particularly in the North, by civil war. This is largely under control and no significant political unrest has occurred for some while. As a consequence we are confident that the school that we are supporting can be sustained for the long term.
